Service Description:

Municipal department in charge of preventing and fighting fires for emergency management and response * Full-time and on call firefighters are responsible for the maintenance and care of the fire vehicles and equipment
Fire suppression and emergency services:- education around fire prevention and protection
- inspections upon request
- tours and public education services
Two stations serving the municipality:- Thornton Fire Station: 34 Robert St
- Angus Fire Station: 135 King St
Open air burning is permitted in the municipality but only with a current annual burn permit; available on-line from the town website or at the township office.
