Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) recently hosted paramedics from the Beausoleil First Nation (BFN) Paramedic Service for a full day training session aimed at enhancing access to healthcare services to those living on Christian Island.
The training initiative focused on expanding the clinical skills and knowledge of BFN paramedics, enabling them to provide a heightened level of care closer to home for community members. By strengthening local care capacity, the program helps reduce the need for visits to the GBGH Emergency Department and supports more timely access to treatment.
The successful day brought together healthcare professionals committed to innovative, community-focused care and resulted in significant learning opportunities that will directly benefit BFN members.
