Nominations now open for Nightingale Nursing Award presented by the OSMH Nursing Alumnae

Community Members Invited To Submit Nominations

(Orillia, ON) – Has a nurse at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) gone above and beyond in providing care to you or your loved one?  Here’s an opportunity to express your appreciation by nominating them for the annual Nightingale Nursing Award sponsored by the OSMH Nursing Alumnae.

You can now nominate online by clicking here. Alternatively, nominations can also be submitted by email to info@osmh.on.ca or dropped off or mailed to:

Attention: Community Relations

For each nomination be sure to include:

  • First and last name of the nurse being nominated
  • The department in the hospital where the nurse provides care
  • Your name, daytime telephone number and relationship to the nurse (Note: nurses can’t be nominated by a member of their family).
  • Include your personal experience as a patient or family/essential care giver (less than 500 words) explaining why this nurse deserves to be recognized

Nominations are due by Wednesday, April 17, 2024. Winner will be announced during Nursing Week May 6-12, 2024.
