Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH), in consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, has officially declared the COVID-19 outbreak over on its 1 North inpatient unit.
The outbreak, originally declared August 31, included 14 patients who contracted COVID-19 while receiving care at the hospital.
During the outbreak only essential visitors were permitted on the unit, but visitation on 1 North is returning to two visitors at a time during the visiting hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
