SMDHU COVID-19 vaccination clinic moves location in Georgian Mall

SIMCOE MUSKOKA – As of Wednesday, Sept.7 the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit’s (SMDHU) COVID-19 vaccination clinic located at Georgian Mall, 509 Bayfield St. (lower level) in Barrie, will begin operating from a new location on the upper level of the mall, close to the Hudson’s Bay department store.

For convenient access to the upper-level clinic, individuals may wish to park near the Guest Service entrance facing Bayfield St. 
The Georgian Mall clinic will continue to offer COVID-19 vaccinations on a walk-in (as available) and appointment basis to individuals 6 months of age and older at the following times: 

  • Wednesday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. 
  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. (beginning Sept. 10) 

When attending the clinic, individuals are reminded to bring identification (e.g., health card, driver’s license, passport) a list of any medications they are taking, wear a loose-fitting shirt that allows easy access to the upper arm and bring any assistive devices as needed (e.g., scooter, wheelchair, cane). Please note, all persons attending a Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit community vaccination clinic will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be made available at the entrance to all our clinics.
