Located on the shores of Georgian Bay in Penetanguishene, the hospital is home to the Waypoint Research Institute and also has the province's only high secure forensic mental health program for clients served by both the mental health and justice systems.

The Director of Provincial Partnerships is currently seeking a Regional Clinical Associate. The purpose of the position is to provide peer leadership and coaching on the implementation of the program’s Clinical Protocol to other professionals (e.g., RN, SW, RP, OT) who are engaged in the provision of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for individuals 18 and older with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. This position will be required to monitor implementation practices through software tools and implement quality improvement initiatives. This position may assist with the referral and intake process as required.

Key Accountabilities:
• Provide peer leadership and coaching on the implementation of the Increasing Access to Structured Psychotherapy – North Simcoe Muskoka (IASP-NSM) program’s Clinical Protocol to other professionals (e.g. RN, SW, RP, OT) who are engaged in the provision of CBT for individuals 18 and older with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
• Communicate about and support the successful implementation of the Clinical Protocol, as well as educate and coach others on adoption of changes to the Clinical Protocol.
• Travel regularly to service delivery sites across the region to meet with these other professionals.
• Monitor implementation practices through software tools and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate in team meetings and assist the program’s Regional Clinical Lead.
• Participate in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assist with the referral and intake process, including screening and determining eligibility, as required.
• Performs all work at all times in compliance with all hospital policies and procedures and legislation (Occupational Health &Safety Act, Fire Code, WHMIS, etc.) relevant to health and safety, security (including relational/therapeutic security) and potential risk hazards, and in particular, “duties of the worker” as defined in Section 28 of the OH&S Act.

Note: This position requires regular travel to service delivery sites across the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network region.

Requirements/Qualifications:
•Must be registered in the province of Ontario as a member in good standing with the appropriate College and eligible to perform psychotherapy as either a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Registered Psychotherapist
•A Master’s degree is preferred
•Preference for proficiency in both French and English languages and experience working with Indigenous people
•Preference for experience working in different care settings and collaborating with multiple partner organizations
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in peer leadership and coaching as well as familiarity with evidence-based CBT is an asset
•Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the etiology and treatment of depressive and anxiety-based disorders
•Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
•Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational and time management skills
•Proven written and verbal communication skills
•Proven ability to adapt readily to change
•Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
